The Music Society of Shyam Lal College ‘SWARAAGAM’, functioning under the aegis of the Fine Arts Committee of the college, has been dedicated to working towards fostering music among the students of the college. The society comprises talented students who always receive guidance from teachers. The society is always growing and achieving success in vocal and instrumental music. These societies give quite an array of options to students to show and improve their skills in areas of their interest. Other than various events held by its societies, the Committee also organizes its annual cultural festival Anugoonj and an annual Dramatic, Music and Dance festival dedicated to music legends. We have had two curative shows, one in memory of music legend R. D. Burman and Sahir Ludhianvi in the past. This year also saw many great performances by SLCians on various platforms. Like, ‘Aakrosh’ the Street Play Society performed at MOOD INDIGO, Asia's Largest fest held at IIT, Bombay, and brought laurels to the college. Likewise, all the Clubs under the Fine Arts and Cultural Society, have brought many laurels to the College in various national and university-level competitions.
