Dr. Kiran Yadav works in the Department of English, Shyam Lal College. She has an impressive academic background to her credit. Her scholarly pursuit started at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, from where she pursued her bachelor’s. She went ahead to pursue her master’s and Ph.D. from the prestigious, and much sought-after, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has been awarded with the Junior Research Fellowship by the UGC. She has presented papers at various National and International Seminars/Conferences, and has several publications. She takes pleasure in delving into the contemporary territories of English Literature, after having intensively studied the ‘manners’ of the Restoration writers, the ‘auspices’ of the Victorians, and the ‘philosophical insights’ of the Indian Classical writers. Her areas of interest lie in the field of Urban Studies, South Asian Literature, Post-Modern Writings, and Contemporary Indian writings in English.
